How long have you been with Gaze Burvill?
Approaching 2 years now.
Tell us about what you do?
I oversee the Mobile Aftercare Service, our purpose is to revitalise and restore our customers’ garden furniture in situ. My role is varied and includes coaching a team, visiting some amazing spaces to carry out furniture cleaning & restoration as well as the associated administration and I also lead the Outdoor Kitchen Installation team.
What do you love most about your role?
My role is diverse and therefore interesting, I like to be out and about. I find a customer facing role to be rewarding, it’s a pleasure to see our clients reaction at the end of a job. I love learning new woodworking techniques and I also enjoy some photography along the way, especially given some of the beautiful backdrops to the furniture.
What is the most challenging part about your job?
The weather!
What are you most proud of?
Personally, my family, namely my daughter. Professionally, the transition I made from the Retail industry via some self employed woodworking to a role in a leading British outdoor furniture makers where I feel I can make a difference.
What is something on your bucket list?
I’d love to travel in South East Asia; eat Thai food, get better at surfing, hire a motorbike in Vietnam, visit the ancient ruins in Cambodia, explore, relax.
