GAZE BURVILL’S RHS CHELSEA DESIGN 2021

We are thrilled to announce that Ann-Marie Powell has designed our display for 2021’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, now taking place in September.

Ann-Marie Powell has designed around the themes ‘Hampshire Wild’ and ‘Rural Refined’ which will correspond to the two areas of the stand. The area at the back has a woodland feel with a more wild and natural look, showcasing our Woodland seat and new Woodland Table. The front half of the stand has a more refined terrace feel but the oak decking keeps it feeling rural and natural rather than urban. Here we showcase our new Curved Splash Lounge Sofa, Broadwalk Outdoor Dining Table and Outdoor Kitchen.

A focus on the idea of entertaining at home, connection with nature and provenance of materials – the oak deck will be our raw material oak boards and component parts of furniture used to create a really special one off flooring that can also be repurposed once the show has finished.

ANN-MARIE POWELL

Based in Petersfield, Hampshire, Ann-Marie Powell Garden Ltd is a Society of Garden Designers Registered Practice. Alongside heading her successful business, Ann-Marie has authored three books on garden design and writes regularly for national magazines and newspapers including The Telegraph, Gardens Illustrated and The English Garden.

Ann-Marie has also presented over 20 different garden design, garden history and pure gardening programmes, including coverage of RHS Chelsea for the BBC, and landmark primetime series across all terrestrial channels.

An experienced Chelsea exhibitor, described by the Editor of The Garden Design journal as “a TV and flower show ‘veteran’ in experience, not years”, her work was awarded a Silver Flora medal 2011 and Gold in 2010.

She is also honoured to be a Society of Garden Designers Award judge and a Designate Judge and Garden Selection Panel member for RHS Shows.
