With the news that we will soon be able to host family and friends in our gardens once again this summer, socialising in our gardens is set to become more popular than ever before. Finding an outdoor furniture solution to fit your space, rather than shoehorning an ‘off the shelf’ piece into your garden, means you get exactly what you want and allows you to make the most of your garden.
For many of us, our gardens are a place to retreat and unwind, to find a place of solitude for a moment of calm, thinking and planning. A hidden nook in the garden can provide an all important change of pace, a place in which to mentally declutter and refresh.
There are many ways in which to create the perfect relaxation spot, such as strategically placed trees, shrubs or hedge screening. Consider how you intend to use the area and of course, ensuring it has comfortable seating! For an area of quiet reflection, Classic Outdoor Seating may well be the perfect solution, add interest with a Meander Outdoor Loveseat. For the larger terrace, a Splash Lounge Outdoor Sofa with a Luxury Parasol is a great way to bring the indoors out.
Our gardens have evolved beyond a portable barbecue and fold away garden furniture and we now seek something more inviting and comfortable, not to mention beautiful.
One of the undeniable joys of summer is a meal al fresco, a leisured, relaxed way to make the best of warmer days. As we will be socialising outside as much as possible going forward, outdoor dining, and finding the right table arrangement, are set to become more important than ever before.
Our gardens are where the natural world should thrive. There can be no greater pleasure than seeing birds, butterflies and local wildlife flourish. Whether your garden is modern, traditional or something-between, working with nature and the natural features within it can make for some of the most beautiful outdoor spaces to relax in and enjoy. As well as providing a visual focus to draw the eye, a tree seat adds an element of romance, or story-telling to the garden. It can provide a refuge for a meditative moment, and, in the heat of summer, a place to catch the cool air beneath a tree.
