LODGE FARM 10k 2022

The Gaze Burvill team are thrilled to once again be taking part in a 10k run, starting from Lodge Farm on 17 June. Last year we raised over £2,500 for Woodland Heritage (against a target of £2,000) in our inaugural event. This year we are once again running in aid of Woodland Heritage’s ‘Founders’ appeal’ to raise £250,000 as part of their plans to protect British Woodland and have set ourselves the lofty target of raising £10,000, £1 for each metre we cover!

As before, the event will also be open to villagers of East Tisted and Newton Valance as well as friends and family. A new route has been devised for team members to either run or walk, taking them through the history of Gaze Burvill, passing Plain Farm Old Dairy, Newtonwood Workshop and ending at our Lodge Farm workshop with some beautiful views along the way.

All donations will help Woodland Heritage to work towards its vision of ‘A UK more self-sufficient in timber grown in healthy, well-managed woodlands that benefit people and wildlife.’ From helping to advance new approaches to forestry or raising awareness of the best techniques in use today, through to ways of increasing volumes of processed timber, Woodland Heritage’s projects over the years have been many and varied. A fantastic organisation that we are delighted to support and contribute to the proper management of British trees.
