Amity Seat Awarded Design Guild Mark

We are pleased to announce that the Amity Seat has been awarded the coveted Furniture Design Guild Mark by The Furniture Makers’ Company. Judged by an independent panel of design experts, the Amity Seat was successfully evaluated against a set of criteria in which it must demonstrate excellence in design, materials, manufacture and function.

Launched earlier this year, the Amity Seat has been designed to celebrate Gaze Burvill’s 30 years of specialised craftsmanship and expertise in Oak. The seat incorporates an innovative CNC produced enclosed fox wedged mortise and tenon, our signature flare-end back slats and is the first Gaze Burvill piece designed and manufactured using only British oak.
